Surviving on Lockdown
Life as we experienced it has drastically shifted. The world past our doors is a blur of its former self. We are now stuck within the limits of our homes, forced to adapt to a new lifestyle. The days melt, marked by the cycle of online meetings, streaming media, and baking. We yearn for the simple joys that were once assumed for granted: a hike in the park, a meal with friends, or even just a conversation without a screen amidst us.
This new situation has created challenges, but it has also revealed unexpected strengths within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more resourceful, and more appreciative for the mundane things in life. As we navigate this uncharted territory, we must stay hopeful that brighter days are coming.
Just Beyond the Six-Foot Mark
Life behind bars is a brutal reality. Every day, you face boundaries that feel like an unbreakable wall. The world outside seems so near, yet it's separated by just a mere six feet.
Sometimes, the pressure of those bars feels overwhelming. You long freedom with every fiber of your being. Each new day serves as a stark reality that you're trapped.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a gleam of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be released. That day might seem impossible, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Confined Liberation
The allure with freedom can be a tempting force. Yet, paradoxically, it can too lead to imprisonment. This happens when the very notion with freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a weapon for control and home arrest domination.
Genuine freedom entails not only the absence for external constraints but also the development of internal spirit. When this inner core is lacking, even amidst a society that preaches freedom, individuals can find themselves trapped within the restrictions of their own thoughts.
Consequently, the true measure for freedom lies in our ability to liberate ourselves the constraints that limit our potential, both externally and internally.
